1. Overview

Kazoo ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you visit withkazoo.com or any related pages, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

• Information you provide. Your name, email address, town or zip, and party details when you search for matches, request a party plan, subscribe to updates, or list a business.
• Information about your child, provided by you. When a parent requests a party plan, we may collect the child's first name, birthday, age, interests and party details. We collect this only from parents, never from children.
• Party page content. If we plan a party with you, your private party page may hold the plan, budget, notes, links and photos.
• Automatically collected, only if you accept cookies. Basic device, browser and usage data such as pages viewed, referrer, approximate location (from IP) and interaction events.

3. How we use information

• To find matches and plan parties.
• To run and improve the directory and match service.
• To respond to you and send updates you asked for.
• To understand how the site is used, if you accept cookies.
• To prevent abuse and enforce our Terms.

4. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share limited information with service providers that help us run the site: hosting, email delivery, our directory database, analytics, and an AI service that helps us understand search requests. Our AI provider does not use your information to train its models, and neither do we. When you ask us to contact a venue or vendor for you, we share only the details they need.

5. Your choices

• Unsubscribe from updates at any time using the link in each email.
• Ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your information through our contact form.
• Accept or decline analytics cookies using the cookie banner, or clear cookies in your browser at any time.

6. Party pages

Party pages are private. Each one is protected by a password we share only with that family, and party pages are hidden from search engines.

7. Security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, and keep it only as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by law.

9. Children

Kazoo is for parents and party planners. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Information about a child comes only from their parent, as described in section 2.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows the most recent revision.
